Bertuccio

A personal desktop application, written and used by one person, that keeps tasks, projects and meeting notes as plain text on the owner's own computer. It connects to Google Calendar so the day's events sit alongside the day's tasks, and so an event can be created on one of the owner's own calendars. It is not distributed.

Privacy

With the account owner's permission, Bertuccio uses the Google Calendar API to list the account's calendars and to read and create events on them. It requests nothing else from Google.

Calendar data is used only to show events in the application and to create the events the owner asks for. Events it creates carry no attendees, so it never sends an invitation. Its tokens and a short cache of upcoming events are stored on the owner's computer, in files readable only by the owner; the cache omits attendee names and descriptions. Nothing is sent to any service other than Google's own APIs, nothing is shared with anyone, and there are no analytics.

Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the account in the application, which deletes its tokens, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Bertuccio's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
